The Brueik Kennel was established in 1985 with the first dog being registered with this Affix . His name was Brueik Just William ,

 

and he was the first of the Brueiks to gain his Stud book number and the first Reserve Challenge Certificate , he was also a double Junior Warrant winner and the first Scottie to be shown at Championship shows from this Kennel. William was by Champion Scarista's Rocky , a big winner at the time winning Best of Breed at Crufts that year . Rocky's breeders , Jim and Ann Falconer were old friend's of Laurie's family in Scotland and Jim ,a talented trimmer himself passed on his knowledge to Liz in those early days . William's dam was Kennelgarth Cressida , bred by Betty Penn-Bull . Cressida along with Gaywyn Louise of Brueik (Rosie), bred by Muriel Owen were the foundation bitches of the Brueik Kennel and both these lines continue on through to the present day . Rosie has been behind a prolific self whelping line through Elouise and then her daughter Ellen  . We have kept 2 bitches from Ellen by Ch Brueik Rock It Man , they are Summabreeze and Rock a Hoola who we hope will carry on this line .

 Cressida (Kirsty) was not such a prolific dam as G. Louise and we kept B.Solo a single puppy from her second litter by Ch Kennelgarth Pluto she in turn had a litter of 6 by Ch Micanda Fine'n Dandy and we kept a lovely bitch B.Moonlighting who won many top awards including a RCC.(cont.below)

Gaywyn Louise mated to Ch Mayson Countdown produced a super self whelped litter of 8. We kept 1 bitch Elouise (below) soon to become the second Champion for the Kennel . Elouise (Alice) self whelped 2 litters of 7  The first by Ch Brueik Flashman ,our 3rd Champion produced several top winners including Am Ch Brueik Elusive and our own Brueik Ellen who has gone on to be our most prolific dam producing 3 self whelped litters of 7 !!

The other important Foundation bitch for this Kennel arrived in 1990 and was to become the first Brueik Champion ,Ch Amberyl Morning Star of Brueik. . She was bred by Beryl Farrand on mainly Wiljoy and Scarista lines and through her daughter Brueik Tapestry (5 RCC's ) by Ch Noonsun New Dimension she is to be found behind many top winning dogs around the World today (see our Overseas Champion page)  (cont. below,

cont.'Moonlighting '( Annie ) produced a beautiful even litter by Brueik Commander Of Noonsun (Tapestry's brother ). A daughter, 'April Moon' ,from this litter was mated to Brueik Spycatcher the only boy from Tapestry's first litter by Ch Wiljoy Wizardry . She produced another single puppy bitch , 'Over the Moon' ,who in turn produced yet another single pup by Ch Brueik Flashman  (Tom) and his name is Ch Brueik Man in the Moon (Sam) our 5th Champion

Champion Amberyl Morning Star of Brueik (Alex) had 2 litters , her first litter by Ch Noonsun New Dimension , a lovely litter of 5 ,including Tapestry as shown above and Brueik Commander of Noonsun who sired many top winning dogs including Ch Balgownie Bagpiper .Her second litter by Ch Wiljoy Wizardry  produced Brueik Highly Exclusive , a beautiful black bitch who mated by Ch Brueik Flashman produced the Kennels 4th Champion ,                                                                                   Champion Brueik Master Copy (Lewis).

Lewis managed a number of lovely wins including Best in Show at the STBEA 2001 and twice RCC Winner at Crufts 2000 and 2001 he has produced some lovely big litters all with big bone and substance .  He Finished his Career with 4 CC's and 9 RCC's

Our latest Champion , awarded his crown in 2004 , is :-

Rocky has 4 CC's and 2 RCC's. He was bred by Anne Green of the Heathergreen Kennel. He is out of Brueik Maypole of Heathergreen by Ch Brueik Man in the Moon and he himself has sired several lovely litters including our latest youngsters out of Ellen ; Roccoco, Summabreeze and Rock a hoola (Lottie). Lottie has had her first litter by Grandfather Flashman with just one little boy , Drew is hoping to follow his father's paw prints !
